Look what I can do!

A friend of mine told me about this really neat knitted scarf pattern and I just had to try it after seeing her scarves! LET ME SAY: I am NOT a knitter! I'm learning tho! I either get it too tight or too loose, but I'm trying! But this pattern is so fun and I think it's turning out pretty good! It is so easy and fun! It's called Farrow Rib Scarf (aka Magic Scarf). On #8 needles, you cast on 25 sts. Then *K3, P1, repeat from * across and K1 in last stitch. You repeat this pattern for the entire scarf. I'm using the Clover Bamboo needles and I love the feel of them. I see Christmas presents out of this pattern!!!

Here is a baby sweater I just finished last night. I used a pattern from Bella's and then used my own dc row and cross stitch row. I'm so used to making preemie things that I get so paranoid when making newborn items that they won't fit. Ok...I admit...I'm a perfectionist when it comes to my crocheting!

Bazaar/Craft Show Weekend

This coming weekend, I will be doing a Craft Show at my church, St. Timothy's, in Walkersville, MD. They are having Walkersville Days in the entire town and I'm told this will be yard sale city on Saturday! At the Church, they are having a car show, along with the bazaar. I will be inside :) I'm really looking forward to this. The money for the table goes to the church for the new building that was really needed! I wanted to make some baby sweaters and couldn't find a quick, easy and pretty pattern to use. Most patterns I use are for charity only. So I got my cluttered mind going and designed this one! I think it turned out pretty good - IF I may say so myself! It will fit Newborn to 3 months. Well, back to work on crafting things for my show!

Weekend Road Trips

Do I need to say where I went to? hahaha Chuck and I took off early last Sunday and drove to Wilmington, DE. We stopped at Delaware Park on one of our road trips and we got $100 to play with. The catch was: You got $50 the day you signed up as a new player and then would have to come back the next day or any other day up until a certain date to receive the other $50. So that is what we did. I walked out with $16! Whoopie!!! Chuck did pretty good! From there we went to Dover, played alittle there...no yarn for Beth :(. Then headed to Ocean City to check out the beach. It was a beautiful day, but by the time we got to the beach, it was alittle bit chilly! But I got to walk the beach and get some great pictures and look at the shells. The tide washes up alot of shells and I guess it was a good thing I didn't have a bag - I would have picked up more than I needed or wanted! As far as you can see, there is a white squiggly line on the beach. That is the line of shells scattered from the ocean. It was a great day out. I was awake for almost 38 hours. I couldn't sleep the night before we left. So I drove to Chuck's early and just waited for him to wake up! I did get a couple 1/2 hour naps in between stops and traveling. Hope I don't do that again!

I found this pattern for a baby sweater and I just fell in love with it! It works up so quick and easy! It's called:
Newborn Ragland Cardigan. I used the big ball of Bernat baby sport yarn and a G hook. It says under the arms, you can use your own pattern choice. So I did a shell stitch. It also calls for ties, but I crocheted around the sweater and put ch 5 in 3 different places on the top front and sewed a button opposite of the button loop. I even cheated - I used the yarn I crocheted with to sew the button on! Waa-laa...it was done! I shared this pattern with my ladies at our meeting this past Tuesday.

Going on another trip this weekend...going to Nags Head, NC! We will be staying at The Nags Head Inn, Outer Banks, NC. We stayed here last year and it was so beautiful and peaceful! It's right on the beach. This is what I did last year on the balcony - CROCHET!!! :)

What have I been working on?

Crocheting on this and that...

Well, I started out making these baby sweaters for my charity HeartFelt Angels. (Sorry for the blurry picture) Then I started looking for the blue yarn to make a blue sweater and got caught up into something else! I need to go back and finish putting on the other sleeves and finish the blue sweater! But I found myself going through Etsy and found a pattern that I just had to have! I just thought it was sooooo adorable and had to have it!

This is the pattern I just had to have! The purple Cupcake Purse. Like I said - I just fell in love with this little purse! I made a bigger cupcake purse for my last Craft Show and it was a big hit there. It was big enough to put the little cake carrier, plates, and cups from Tupperware. (I had a Tupperware lady next to me and she tried it out!) So when I saw this pattern, I had to get it. I have a lady wanting more of the bigger purses to put things in it for Easter!

After I made the purse, I started digging through my yarn to make more scarves for The Bridge Project.

OH! Forgot one other item!!! I got another pattern to make the cutest newborn baby dress and bonnet. I made that too, but didn't get the bonnet finished yet. I'll share a picture of that when I get it finished.

And then....I found this really cool site called "That Crochet Guy" and found another pattern for a really pretty shawl to make. His work is awesome! So I got that going too!

This was a week of WIP's for me! I have other projects I need to finish and get to people. But I see something different and pretty and JUST HAVE TO try it! I need help....LOL!
